About Ravi Soni
I led a design team in the creation of highly stylized and complex signal lamps for automobiles. As a project engineer it is my responsibility to meet with the customer to understand their requirements and aesthetics vision. I must then guide a design process that honors that vision while also respecting my company's best practices, capabilities, and profitability. To do this successfully I must have working knowledge of several manufacturing processes and engineering disciplines. Automotive lights are more complex than ever and require a team of mechanical, optical, electrical, and manufacturing engineers. It is critical that I understand the role that each of these disciplines plays in order to successfully design and launch products.
