Soni Styrlund has dedicated her entire professional career to helping clients build brands that improve lives. She does just that at BAKER Branding and Studio Café Photography, where global consumer packaged goods and business to business brands come to life. As an Executive, Soni is responsible for Business Development and Brand Communications, Marketing Planning and Execution, Client Outreach, New Business Presentations, and shaping new business proposals.Prior to BAKER and Studio Café Photography, Soni was President of SUNNY LLC – a consortium of talent focused on disruptive creative strategy, branded communications, consumer marketing innovation (especially food, beverage and healthcare, focused on the patient experience). Before SUNNY, she held various senior positions in the marketing industry, including global management at General Mills, overseeing branding, advertising, corporate production, meeting services and events; at Campbell-Mithun Advertising – a McCann Erickson Agency, in commercial production executive management; at Wilson-Griak Production Company in national commercial film production management; at Moore Creative and an executive in national talent development, operations and marketing.Outside of her professional career, Soni has worked with all levels of government including two President’s Cabinets, as an advocate for global business commercialization, federal healthcare innovation, education policy and civil rights, for underserved populations. She has worked with four administrations developing bi-partisan legislation and implementation of bills, policies and laws she co-authored – at the state and federal levels. A Minnesota native, she received her BA from the University of Minnesota, Rho Lambda, and an active resident in Eden Prairie, where she initiated the branding and design of her hometown.
