I maintain instructional continuity and integrity for students when their regular classroom teacher is not able to be present.

As Editor of the Salt Creek Bulletin, our local community newsletter, I compile articles and announcements from the Salt Creek Community. My colleague and I edit, adjust, and print the letter each month. We hold fundraisers and participate in a bake sale during the Community Bazaar each fall to help with printing costs.

I assist patrons in finding and checking out materials, but I also help them with printing, using the computers and other technology, faxing, and many other miscellaneous tasks. We design and build a library themed float for the City of Casper and Salt Creek Days Parades each year.CTA Certified

As a Coordinator for the Food Bank at the Haven of Rest Community Outreach Center I work cooperatively with the Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies to make sure orders are submitted correctly and on time, Pickup guidelines are followed, accounts are paid, volunteers complete the required food safety and Civil Rights Annual Certifications, and our facility meets the required health and safety regulations during our annual inspection.I submit quarterly reports to show accountability to the organization which has allocated a yearly grant to our organization. These reports also include personal stories of people helped by our organization to help translate those numbers for the audience. I’ve been involved with grant writing and served on multiple grant writing teams as a teacher.Within our organization I coordinate and direct volunteers while working alongside to complete necessary tasks. We transport food to our location and prepare it for distribution, serving a hot meal to the community during the hours we are open. During the 2016-2017 school year Midwest School was temporarily relocated to various campuses in Casper because of environmental concerns. Because of travel concerns the preschoolers in the community were facing a year without the advantages of early intervention. Seeing a need, I spearheaded the creation of an interim preschool, filling the gap for the year when Midwest School was unavailable, finding and creating curriculum and lesson plans, coordinating with a local church for a school location and meals, contacting our local branch library for access to the Reading is Fundamental (RIF) Program which is open to all district students, and facilitating communication between parents, community members, and other volunteers.
