After graduating in 1995 I started working full time in the leisure industry. Starting out as a Lifestyle Consultant and qualifying as an Advanced Gym Instructor, I progressed into management. I’ve had various management roles in both private sector health clubs and Circadian Trust (a Charitable Trust). Along the way I’ve gained the NEBOSH qualification and the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems (QMS) Internal Auditor certificate. It makes me very proud to be a part of Circadian Trust; “Inspiring Active Lifestyles” in our local communities is something I am passionate about. I am also a Pool Plant Tutor for STA, and enjoy this role very much, regularly taking Pool Water Treatment and Pool Plant Operations courses for our employees who need it.Recently I also qualified as a Swim Teacher and have started teaching regularly. There’s never a dull moment with kids in the pool, and it’s hugely rewarding seeing them progress. Having spent most of my youth in the swimming pool and sea, either training, competing or lifeguarding, I am passionate about health & fitness and staying safe and, of course, having fun whilst doing so!
