Payment Operations Officer is responsible to execute international payments received by and from customers, perform detail-oriented data entry, review, verify and determine accuracy of international payments prior to final approval, research and apply proper routing to FX payment orders using all available routing resources and validate all routing. This position will also notify customers of Foreign Exchange rates, currency, and value dates on their transactions.To ensure physical resources are optimised in the Outward Payments Team and that laid down policies and procedures are adhered to with strict compliance to regulatory requirements, while providing superior service to our clients.Compliance vetting and processing of the Foreign Investment Allowances in terms of the South African Reserve Bank Manual for Authorised Dealers.Ensure all Service Level Agreements are adhered to.Elimination of risk and practice fraud prevention.Control application Risk: Market Turmoil - Ensure processes are followed in terms of Banking LimitsStrict adherence to Exchange Control rulings and regulationsControl Application Risk: Legislation between other countries i.e., OFACControl Compliance Risk: in the application of BOP (balance of payment), exchange controlrulings and FICA.Have a clear understanding of Money Laundering and communications.Ensure all Specialised processing are processed as per agreement.Ongoing learning in exchange control in terms of the South African Reserve Bank Manual for Authorised Dealers.
