Ik heb gewerkt aan zeer diverse projecten, zoals het verbeteren van het risicovereveningsmodel, het uitvoeren van kosteneffectiviteitsstudies en het ontwikkelen van dashboards voor zorginkoop.Ik ben gepromoveerd aan het Mathematische Instituut van de Universiteit Leiden in de computationele biologie. Mijn promotieonderzoek is uitgevoerd aan het Centrum voor Wiskunde & Informatica. Met behulp van computermodellen onderzocht ik de mechanismes die ten grondslag liggen aan de vorming van bloedvaten.

During my PhD, I developed computer models of blood vessel formation at the CWI in the Biomodeling & Biosystems Analysis Group of Roeland Merks. With these models, I studied how individual cell behavior can result in collective behavior, such as blood vessel growth and hollowing (lumen formation). The models are based on the Cellular Potts Model.
