Over 25 years in the interior design industry, Tracy Sonka Stultz brings an incredible breadth of interior design talent to both her projects and the studios that she has led. Tracy built a small interiors department into a partnership in a separate 7-person office over a six-year time period, focusing on high-end residential design. Work as Partner & Design Director at HTS was widely published and the significant repeat business from her clients speaks to the dedication they felt towards Tracy’s design talents. In 1995, Tracy first opened her own office, Sonka Stultz Design, before moving to the WDC area to take advantage of business opportunities that arose in 1997. Working in Baltimore and Rockville, Maryland, she continued her award winning residential work & developed her expertise in multi-family and hospitality design. Receiving high praise from her clients, winning numerous awards in her role as the Design Director of Hartman Design Group, she helped grow the firm to a 25-person practice. Through patient mentoring, a dedication to high ethical standards, she built a loyal following of young designers and peers alike, who continue to seek her council.Tracy returned to California in 2004, where she quickly reestablished her design reputation and strong client following on significant projects such as Antilia, Wynn Macau, Renaissance Beijing, Beverly Hilton, and J.W. Marriott Seoul.In 2009, Tracy re-opened Sonka Stultz Design as a full-service boutique hospitality and residential design firm. Taking on individual projects, speaking engagements, and providing consulting services to other firms, her ability to deliver every aspect of interior design projects from concept, planning, documentation, detailing, specifications, purchasing and construction observation has made her a highly sought-after design talent. Her success is the result of a strong design sense & insistence on high quality performance.In 2021 Tracy began creating original art and commissioned pieces for projects.
