During my tenure as a dedicated Ph.D. student, my research journey centered on the field of Protein Biochemistry. My primary focus was on the comprehensive study of recombinant proteins from the Fibroblast Growth Factor 1 subfamily, which involved a multifaceted approach encompassing cloning, expression, purification, electrophoresis, and blotting techniques.A pivotal aspect of my research was the thorough biophysical characterization of these proteins, achieved through cutting-edge methods like Circular Dichroism (CD) and fluorescence spectroscopy. These techniques enabled me to unravel the intricate structural and dynamic properties of the FGF proteins.To gain deeper insights into protein stability, I employed Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) and CD, providing invaluable data for understanding the factors influencing protein stability under varying conditions. Additionally, I conducted bioactivity assays utilizing NIH 3T3 fibroblast cells, uncovering the physiological significance of these proteins in cellular contexts. I meticulously adhered to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and maintained a comprehensive and organized laboratory notebook.Beyond the laboratory, I actively contributed to by mentoring both graduate and undergraduate students. My role extended to effective lab management, where I ensured the seamless functioning of research operations, from resource allocation to safety protocol adherence.Collaboration was a hallmark of my academic journey, fostering a culture of innovation and knowledge exchange.
