An experienced real estate advisor with $210M in AUM and an additional $200MM in pipeline projects, Sonnara is a risk manager and the COO of Naki Group. Born in Texas and raised in Seattle, he is first generation Cambodian. Sonnara earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and began his career as a banker, mortgage advisor and a real estate investor. Through his involvement in the Cambodian-American Community of Washington, he developed a deep desire to return and give back to Cambodia, where he joined his brother, Veasna Meas at Naki Group. It was then when they began building a playbook where the worlds of real estate and blockchain technology converge. Giving back to the community is of utmost importance to Sonnara and “Water Well of Love” is a project close to his heart. “Water Well of Love” provides the means to build wells that deliver clean drinking water to outlying villages and orphanages in Cambodia. Stateside, Sonnara has stayed close to his roots by supporting the Seattle-Sihanoukville Sister City Association(SEASIH) whose projects include fundraising to build primary schools and a high school library in Cambodian villages; partnering with medical organizations for outreach in rural towns; coordinating a school pen pal exchange program; and many other impactful initiatives.
