Professional Bio: Jessica Sonnek, CPA, is the Director of Finance for Enlightened Equipment, a manufacturing company in Minnesota, specializing in ultralight hiking gear. With more than 25 years of accounting experience in public, private, and not-for-profit industries, she applies Enlightened Equipment’s philosophy of “being smarter and lighter, eliminating useless extra features so you only carry what you need”, to her work. She is passionate about finding efficiencies in accounting processes while still providing extreme accuracy. Jess enjoys all things outdoors with her husband and five kids along with her favorite Enlightened products, the Convert quilt being her staple, in tow. When she isn’t knee-deep in numbers, you will find her competing at distance rides around the Midwest on her Arabian horse Jazzy.
