Sonny Clark was inducted into the Minor League Football Hall of Fame on January 11, 2014 for the Class of 2013, for broadcasting of indoor football games, and community service by calling over 175 sporting events in two years from football to basketball to baseball of his local high school. By the end of 2014, he will have broadcast over 300 games in three years. Sonny received notice from Coach Andrew Ellison that he had nominated and was accepted as a 2013 inductee of the Minor League Football Hall of Fame on September 1st. Sonny said, "It is very nice to be recognized by your peers. It is another for someone who took his time, that had no clue who I was, and recognize me in this fashion. I am honored"Sonny is entering into his fourth year calling indoor football games, for the Allen Wranglers (2012) and the Texas Revolution (2013 & 2014), of the CIF (Champions Indoor Football) and the Indoor Football League. He also, as a community service, calls Rowlett Eagles High School football, basketball, and girls softball on his internet radio show called "The Couch Potato Sports Show" that has been on since February 2009. Sonny has interviewed over 200 professional sports athletes NFL and MLB Hall of Fame players, owners of professional teams, as well as interviewed many people in the broadcast business.
