About Gabriel Thompson

Hi, I'm Gabriel! I'm a second-year student studying computer science at the University of Toronto, St. George, and a council member for the Computer Science Student Union. I'm an aspiring software engineer, passionate about full-stack web development, data science, and music technology. In high school, I served as the IT Director for the Stuyvesant Writing Center, single-handedly building their new website for 3,300+ students and 100+ Writing Center editors. During my senior year, I spent three months leading a team working under the supervision of Google developer Jeremy Espenshade on a project to train a GPT-3 model to write emails in my writing style. This past summer, I interned at Snorkle Labs, where I working on feature to generate explanatory science presentations on the human anatomy from a given prompt by matching natural-language names of body parts to mesh IDs in anatomy models. Currently, I'm a technology lead at the Computer Science Student Union, having built their orientation website, with which 400+ users can scan QR codes (updated every 15 seconds) at orientation booths to log their attendance and co-leading a team of 14 to re-vamp their website. You can read more about my experience under my "Experience" section! You can check out my website at:https://www.gabe.biz/You can contact me at:gabrielezrathompson [AT] gmail [DOT] com
