-Attend Career Fairs at CSU, Chico to talk to students about Kohl's Management Internship and MIT program-Host events on and off campus events

-Worked along side with experienced associates and a store manager to learn about store operations, management responsibilities, merchandising, and inventory.-Managed an entire store team during shifts-Worked with customers and sales floor management-Reviewed daily sales and payroll reports

Managed and oversaw 20 tutors that are hired through a federal funded grant and that tutor and assist students in grades K-12 for schools in the Chico Unified School District.-Recruited, interviewed, hired, trained, supervised, and evaluated staff members and tutors.-Reviewed time sheets, recorded hours, manage yearly budget, and prepared for approval prior to submission to payroll - recreate and update Excel spreadsheets to efficiently and easily track staff hours for future coordinators-Developed strategies and opportunities for tutors to be successful and fulfill job requirements -created the concept of professional development workshops that were informative, hands on, and structured to fit staffs' learning styles -continualy updated program directive, hiring processes and worked to cooperatively improve and enhance program for staff members could be successful and thrive at work

-Help companies understand the triple bottom line and become a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) company.-went to events on campus to engage students in sustainability trivia and helped them understand how to become sustainable in their daily lives.

What I do as a Student Mentor.-Led and facilitate discussions to help student critically think about the subject in class-Help students transition from high school into college life-Motivate students by praising them when they accomplish big projects or demonstrate good character.-Serve as a social and academic role model-Assist students in achieving goals within the class room and give them directing in achieving person goalsIn our mentor training class we use the pedagogy of Committees of Practice to help us mentors to use different resources to help students be successful in group settings. As a student mentor, one of the hardest things to do it is to create an efficient group. However, by having a semester experience under my belt, utilizing ideational, relational, and material resources helps create an efficient group. Getting to know students on a personal level to identify their strengths and weaknesses in order to make the group more efficient and comfortable with each other. A good relationship=good team work.

-Attend and prepared meeting minutes for the Chico Chamber of Commerce Legislative Action Committee. -Ensure community leaders have detailed action items on behalf of the CEO of the Chico Chamber of Commerce-Attend Sustainability Management Association meetings to take minutes to inform volunteers about what is happening.
