The Director of Financial Counseling executes and operationalizes ESOP’s strategy related to helping seniors age-in-place with greater economic security and all one-on-one financial coaching and counseling. This position is responsible for the implementation and management of ESOP’s Senior Financial Empowerment Initiative (SFEI) suite of programs. The position reports to the Associate Director ESOP/Vice President for Organizational Development.Essential Areas of Responsibilities – Director of Financial Counseling:• Project Management: Design, develop, and implement ESOP’s “Senior Financial Empowerment Initiative” program, from pilot project phase to full program implementation and sustainability• Community Liaison and Networking: Serve as primary liaison between ESOP management, the older adult community and key community stakeholders related to issues that impact seniors• Outreach: Works in partnership with ESOP’s Community Engagement Manager to execute a grassroots seniors’ outreach strategy that creates an efficient and effective mode of communication, data collection, and deliverables around issues that impact seniors’ quality of life• Staff Management: Directly manages ESOP’s Financial Empowerment Coaches (FECs)• Advocacy: Build and establish ESOP as a partner in local, statewide, and national seniors advocacy networks and pursue key strategic partnerships• Funding and Development: In partnership with ESOP’s Policy and Development Manager, identifies potential funding streams related to program support• Organization Development: Serves as a key advisor to ESOP’s Executive Director and as a contributing member of ESOP’s Management Team• Research: Report on current and emerging trends and threats that may affect the seniors population• Impact and Outcomes: Is responsible for establishing SFEI program goals and tracking and reporting program outcomes
