I have over 30 years of operations, logistics, and senior leadership experience in both the public and private sector and have worked in the United States, Kuwait, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Over the last decade I provided executive oversite of the following departments in my role as the Administrative Services Division Director: Facilities, Equipment Services. Safety, Risk Management, Procurement, Physical Security, Hazmat/Emergency Response, Audit and Analysis, and the Grand Canyon Airport. In this role, I managed 356 personnel and a budget in excess of 100 million dollars. During the pandemic, I led ADOT's effort to distribute 100,000 fabric face coverings to all State agencies as well as 192 school districts on behalf of the Governor's Office. My team also partnered with ASU to do Covid sampling in house which enabled the agency to keep healthy staff at work to better serve the public. We also purchased equipment to fog our own facilities which saved significant tax payer dollars and our employees felt safer. More recently, I've been partnering with divisions and departments to develop their continuity of operations plans and to identify and document their risk as well as countermeasures to mitigate those risks. I have also led the agency's effort to implement AZ911 Inform in partnership with ADOT IT and ADOA which will enable the State to comply with Federal legislation (Kari's Law and the Ray Baum Act). This impacts 97 sites statewide and over 500 facilities.My passion is building high-performing teams who provide exemplary customer service to successfully meet or exceed strategic objectives. I enjoy developing innovative solutions, improving processes and find great joy in mentoring people and teams to reach their full potential. One of the things I love about managing support services is the opportunity to work with every single department in the agency/company. I also find that connecting people both professional and personally, with the resources they need to reach their goals, to be very rewarding. I have served others my entire life; first via the U.S. military and now the citizens of Arizona for 23 years and counting! I love experiencing other cultures and have been blessed to visit 24 countries and the wonderful people who make them unique and special. Most recently my family visited Belize and we rappelled down a waterfall, spelunked in a cave to see ancient Mayan artifacts, and ziplined through the jungle. Helping others, making a difference, and adventure vacations is living life to its fullest!
