The Senior Director of Strategy & Innovation is responsible for the oversight, development, and execution of innovative and emerging new strategies to expand Cause Effective’s brand visibility, consulting services and programs nationwide.

Cause Effective is a nonprofit consulting management group that has helped to strengthen over 6,000 organizations through fundraising, special events, board governance and executive coaching. Sonya is a Senior Associate and works with nonprofit leaders and offers training, coaching and consulting in the areas of resource development, special events, and communication strategies .

The Gender & Family Project (GFP) empowers youth, families and communities by providing gender affirmative services, training and research. GFP promotes gender inclusivity as a form of social justice in all the systems involved in the life of the family.

Served on the BCS Executive Staff, and is responsible for providing fundraising, marketing, public relations, traditional and social media strategies, volunteer engagement and community relations support for more than 40 programs and services across 25 BCS sites in Downtown Brooklyn, Bedford Stuyvesant, Crown Heights, East New York, Brownsville, Bushwick, Fort Greene, Clinton Hill, Carnarsie and Coney Island. Community of Unity directly impacts NYU's most underserved urban youth through holistic, uniquely "high-touch," long-term, peer and relationship-driven, social-emotional learning programs, and has indirectly impacted countless others through professional development programs for educators, counselors, social workers, families, school administrators and school networks.

Third Wave is a feminist, activist foundation that works nationally to support young women and transgender youth ages 15 to 30. Through strategic grantmaking, leadership development, and philanthropic advocacy, we support groups and individuals working towards gender, racial, economic, and social justice.

National Advocates for Pregnant Women (NAPW) works to secure the human and civil rights, health and welfare of all women, focusing particularly on pregnant and parenting women, and those who are most vulnerable - low income women and women of color
