Throughout my career there is a common thread for every role I ever held, and that is my passion for people. From working as a social worker to being a diversity practitioner/ leader in healthcare to being a trusted advisor/ consultant in big four consulting; my focus has always been about the people experience. For over 15 plus years my work has been in the DEI space. With intentionality leveraging my core competencies as diversity practitioner and leader, I was able to lead various functions such as internal communications and employee development. In these roles, my success was attributed to my ability to leverage the organizations culture, employee experience and business outcomes to create strategies that were unique to the organization and build for sustainability and growth.Let’s talk DEI for a moment. I have been in this field long enough to see “Diversity” evolve into “ Diversity & Inclusion” to now “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion”. I also know that this space has it ebb’s and flows. I have held steady in this space because I truly believe that ALL individuals want and deserve dignity and respect. And also, this work impact lives. Especially in healthcare, inclusive behaviors and mindset literally saves lives. I am passionate about the work I do, I believe in leaving a legacy in my work and a torch for others to carry the work through. My work in Big Four consulting, for an example I did just that. I created a go to market approach to partner with clients in elevating DEI to a strategic initiative. I also co-founded the firm Center of Health Equity. This work will go on to drive change for the better; for both people and business alike.I have had a robust career and the story is still being written.
