Sonya is a true champion of children, believing that every child can learn and rightfully deserves access to quality education. This belief has fueled her passion for equity and access in education over the course of her career.Early on she founded Global Communications Group, a communications consultancy and production company serving academic institutions, educational associations, national, state and local government agencies in the creation of distance teaching and learning programs. A highly collaborative leader and mentor known for empowering the individuals on her team, Sonya has held a variety of business development roles at Curriculum Associates before being appointed to her current position as Vice President, Strategic Partnerships. With a proven ability to build impactful relationships, Sonya is responsible for creating and supporting new and ongoing partnerships nationally with educational leaders, associations, and stakeholders with a goal of improving educational outcomes for all students.Before joining Curriculum Associates, Sonya held business development roles in leading Edtech companies with responsibility for sales strategy, partnerships and planning, revenue growth, forecasting and budget management.Sonya is a graduate of Howard University and holds a Bachelor of Arts with a major in communications and a minor in business. She is a member of The Links Inc.
