I run a bespoke books business & manage a network of book clubs, and a books community of 2000+ both online and offline. Over the last two decades I have had wide experience in a variety of sectors from banking, consumer goods marketing, education. As a freelance journalist I write features on subjects like girls's football, the environment, covering entrepreneurship, social impact, books, art & business. I enjoy Interview based pieces, having interviewed business leaders, artists, writers like Robert Cialdini, MF Husain, Zia Mody etc I teach Storytelling and Communications to MBA students at NMIMS, Mumbai.Fiction has powerful lessons in conflict management, negotiation, diversity, empathy, managing talent & leadership ! I use a specially curated mix of writers from all over the world to teach these subjects through fiction to undergraduate & B school students at institutions like IIM Calcutta, NMIMS, Ashoka University etc.Being mother to three girls, I have a keen personal and professional interest in women's issues - whether through writing features, looking at both fiction and non fiction books that deal with women's issues and mentoring high school students in their study of STEM as part of the Atal Innovation Mission. I also mentor young women through Aspire for Her.Always happy to take on new projects or partner with people working in any of these areas.
