Taught graduate-level interdisciplinary curriculum in national security strategy and elective in public diplomacy. Co-led student practicum focusing on national security challenges in the Baltics culminating in senior-level engagements with political, defense, academia, and business leaders in Estonia.

Advised and prepared senior leaders within the Office of the Secretary of Defense for planning reviews and related policy discussions with combatant commanders and interagency leaders. Wrote the Secretary of Defense's steady-state planning guidance for combatant commanders, as well as contingency planning guidance. Built and led multi-agency teams to update strategic planning guidance, assess readiness and associated risks of plan execution.

Developed, revised, and taught graduate-level interdisciplinary curriculum in defense strategy and resourcing, semester-long studies on the news media industry and its relationship with national security, and electives in public diplomacy. Led faculty development for over 20 faculty including civilian professors and military practitioners, emphasizing the sharing of best practices with a focus on quality seminar instruction and engagement. Served as a key member of the college curriculum committee and instituted interdisciplinary student assessments that served an integrating function for college core curricula.

Advised the Commander, United States Forces-Iraq on strategic and operational matters related to allied and coalition operational activities, as well as U.S. organizational change activities. Distilled complex issues and enabled communication between senior political and military leaders through the drafting of weekly reports for U.S. administration leaders in Washington DC as well as congressional testimony. Prepared the four-star commander for daily senior-level engagements with Iraqi officials, allies, international organizations and U.S. military and civilian leaders. Orchestrated and supervised the day-to-day operations of the Commander's Initiatives Group. Co-authored and published an article on Information Warfare in smallwarsjournal.com

Advised and prepared the Army Chief of Staff for enterprise-level communications and engagement with internal and external stakeholders including Congress, business leaders, partners and allies. Offered strategic and policy assessments. Drafted speeches and select correspondence. Coordinated the development and delivery of strategic messages.

Advised the senior U.S. military commander on strategic and practical groundwork related to future U.S. military posture on the Korean peninsula. Produced professional studies, strategic analysis and assessments on matters pertaining to the U.S.-Republic of Korea alliance. Developed strategic communications plans to educate U.S. and international audiences on the relevancy of the evolving military alliance. Wrote speeches, congressional testimony, remarks and correspondence taking into account the underlying political-military dimensions of each strategic engagement.

Developed curriculum, led faculty development and taught a required undergraduate international relations theory course and cultural anthropology elective course. Served as the Executive Secretary for a multidisciplinary conference focusing on Asian security issues bringing together academics, civilian and military practitioners. Annually advised and mentored scholarship candidates, as well as students participating in Student Conference on U.S. Affairs (SCUSA).

Research focused on US strategy and missile defense in Asia Pacific region. Published article in Pacific Focus.

Commanded and led a 120+ PATRIOT air defense artillery headquarters battery deployed to Southwest Asia in 1997-1998. Also served as human resources staff officer. In the Czech Republic from 1994-1995, served as a key member of a four person U.S. liaison team on the Czech General Staff coordinating the U.S. European Command's Partnership for Peace program. Established multi-national, multi-Service, and multi-component relationships to advance the Czech military's post-Cold War transition.
