Sonya Marsh is a passionate and innovative leader who thrives on creating and fostering inclusive, people-oriented work environments. Prior to joining Isakson Living in November 2021 as the Director of Human Resources, she co-founded a premier DEI consulting firm that specialized in HR management and catalyzing strategic initiatives to drive organizational change. She is instrumental in attracting, retaining, and developing a best-in-class caregiving team for the Southeast’s premier life plan communities. Sonya’s experience and passion are vital to delivering the relationship-based, person-directed household model of care within our unique continuum of care. With over 17 years of proven results in human resources and business partnerships, as well as six years of service in the U.S. Navy, she is well-known for her collaborative leadership and high-performing teams. Sonya is an accomplished author of two books on human resources and an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM); she holds certifications in Veterans at Work, Engagement Strategy, and Culture Creation, as well as the globally recognized CompTIA Project+ project management certification.----------------------I currently oversee all HR initiatives, systems, and strategic tactics for three companies in the senior living industry, ensuring compliance, quality, and excellence in all aspects of HR management.I have a proven track record of developing partnerships, aligning HR goals with business strategies, implementing HR processes, coaching and mentoring director-level employees, increasing employee engagement, streamlining recruitment and onboarding, and resolving litigation risks.
