In this way, projects are able to leverage the social capital they've built through their work. Through this approach, I have partnered with nonprofits to raise over $1.5 million over the last 6 years. Our innovative model has successfully reduced teacher turnover by 50%, and saved partner schools millions of dollars in attrition-related costs.

Legislative Design Specialist with the Alameda County Early Care and Education Program, working primarily to help design and pass a June 2018 ballot initiative that would increase Alameda county Pre-K/ECE funding by $150 million annually. Specific duties:- Served in Chief of Staff capacity for Alameda County Measure A legislative design team, balancing a dynamic set of priorities, challenges, opportunities, and partners and streamlining team operations to ensure effective execution of mission- Working in partnership with the Alameda County Board of Supervisors, SEIU, Parent Voices Oakland, First 5 Alameda County, the TJ Long Foundation, Alliance of Californians for Community Empowerment (ACCE), and a large and diverse coalition of childcare providers, educators, parents and community members to create an unprecedented amount of funding and support for our youngest learners, their teachers, and their families- Assisting with program design, analysis, feedback, cost modeling, and data analysis- Acting as Alameda County liaison and providing coordination between community-based organizations and other service providers, county departments, state or other funding sources and community or business organizations, interacting with various planning councils, working groups, and boards- Preparing a variety of correspondence, periodic and special reports, informational publications, program documentation, policies, procedures and other written materials- Organizing and executing stakeholder engagement meetings, community outreach and input sessions around the ballot initiative, its elements, and its implications for each of Alameda County's 14 cities plus unincorporated areas

Participated as a fellow in 2014, and stayed on as a board member until 2016. Participated in 1-week series of workshops in Washington, DC designed to identify, engage and empower the newest generation of progressive leaders to create lasting change in their communities.
