I provided specialised commercial advice to the entertainment industry, including in Australia and tours in the Asia-Pacific region.

In this role I was broadly responsible for driving the legal and business aspects of The Really Useful Group's (RUG's) entertainment projects in the Asia/Pacific Region. My role included developing effective strategies and business structures in order to progress complex negotiations in emerging as well as established markets, often working across multiple time zones. A couple of my key achievements include the successful navigation of regional commercial and legal complexities to ensure international production and licensing for approximately 200 performance seasons in 15 seasons worldwide; and the first RUG Korean language and Chinese language productions.

In this role my key responsibilities were drafting and negotiating commercial and creative agreements for Global Creature's (GC's) multi-million dollar arena spectacular and theatrical productions as well as Company Secretarial duties including attendance at Board meetings. My achievements included founding and putting in place GC's legal department and overseeing and successfully negotiating complex animatronic construction agreements and licensing and production agreements.

During this period I established a successful general legal practice with local and overseas prive and company clients. Areas of practice included general commercial matters, property conveyancing and advice, employment law and sale of business.

In this role I worked on a range of commercial transactions that required high level negotiating, drafting and research skills. My clients included a number of major multi-national corporations or their Australian subsidiaries.

In this role I was a speechwriter for the Australian Ambassador's major speaking engagements and prepared briefings on foreign relations, trade and economic matters.
