Sonya is the Head of Business Development at Macro (formerly Mace Operate), an independent global facilities management and workplace services company.With over 20 years of experience, Sonya specializes in business development, client services, and marketing, working with Fortune 500 companies and AmLaw 100 firms.An active member of CoreNet, Sonya currently serves on the Southeast Florida CoreNet executive board as the Membership Chair. She has also held executive board positions with CoreNet Global Young Leaders, as well as the New Jersey and Philadelphia chapters. In the New York City Chapter, Sonya has served in various roles, including Co-Chair of the Annual Dinner and PR Liaison for several committees such as Special Events, Membership, and Newsletter.For the past six years, Sonya has been a key member of the CoreNet Eastern Regional Symposium host committee.In addition to her work with CoreNet, Sonya serves as the Secretary of the Executive Board of IFMA NYC. Her interviews with Real Estate and Facilities Management professionals are regularly featured in the IFMA NYC newsletter, and she has received a global IFMA award for her contributions. She has also been recognized by IFMA NYC with the Volunteer of the Year and Lifetime Achievement awards.Philanthropy is a significant passion for Sonya. She is on the Executive Leadership Board of the American Cancer Society in South Florida for their Evening of Hope Gala. Additionally, she has been actively involved with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, raising over $15 million for children and families battling catastrophic diseases.
