Soon Cho, Visiting Assistant Professor in Couple, Marriage and Family Therapy, Master of Social Work (LMSW), AAMFT-approved supervisor candidate. Main research interest is: Integration of mental health services with technology (i.e. metaverse, and Artificial Intelligence).I am currently leading the development of two innovative projects: a smartphone-based Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) program designed specifically for caregivers of individuals with dementia and Alzheimer’s, and a smartphone-based mental health care program that integrates artificial intelligence for emotional processing with biometric data.My dissertation explores the effectiveness and therapists' and clients' experiences of psychotherapy within the Metaverse, offering insights into this emerging field to therapists and policy makers and its potential impact on mental health treatment.
