PDS - Systems - Modelling, Simulation and Analysis

Developed detailed thermal model (CFD and 1-D) of Electric Motor and Battery Pack to predict thermal performance at different ambient and testing condition as per vehicle requirements using Altair Simlab, Hyperworks CFD, Flow Simulatorand AVL FIREDeveloped a detailed system model for an Electric Scooter to determine Vehicle specifications – Range, Acceleration, Gradient, Energy Consumption and Derating Performance of the Vehicle using AVL Cruise and Altair Activate.Developed system model to simulate and compare different regenerative braking strategies (series, parallel and hybrid) and evaluated their performance in terms of Range, Efficiency and Energy Consumption.Implemented BMS component into the system model to set maximum power limits for charge and discharge of the battery (dependent on SOC and Temperature of battery) and evaluated the performance of the vehicle in terms of Range and Maximum Velocity.Performed Design Space Exploration studies to determine best fin shape, size, gap and pattern for more heat dissipation using Altair Hyperstudy.Worked on defining strategies for Cooling and Thermal management for Motor, powertrain, battery pack, motor controller and VCU.

Working on all aspects of CFD, MBSE and Design Space Exploration: CAD handling, meshing, solving, complex physics modelling, post-processing, coupling to other codes.Independently plan, schedule and perform computational analysis, prepare and make presentations and document results in technical reports.Handled technical support for Simcentre3D, AMEsim, StarCCM+, Battery Design Studio, HEEDS and FloEFD.Thermal Modelling of electronic and mechanical systems and thermal management using FEA, CFD & MBSE. Also adept in Li-Ion Battery Modelling and Simulation using BDS and StarCCM+.Taking up POC's and Projects to demonstrate the Multiphysics simulation capabilities of Simcentre3D, StarCCM+, BDS, AMEsim, HEEDS and FloEFD.

Learned the various processes and protocols related to the handling, storage, and distribution of BSIII & BSIV Petrol and Diesel.Gained working knowledge of various departments within the terminal like Gantry, Tank Firm, Safety, Control,Pipelinee and Administrative Departments.
