Senior Product Manager, Cloud (August 2015 - present): Responsible for the product engineering launch of AWS OpsWorks for Chef Automate into the Marketplace to expand Chef's cloud power play. Senior Director, Business Development (April 2015 - present): Responsible for the strategy and execution of Chef's service provider strategy and new technologies eco-system focusing on the go-to-market with AWS, Azure Marketplace, Google Cloud Platform as well as the top partners for each service provider. Chief of Staff, Office of the CTO/Engineering (October 2014 - April 2015): responsible for program management and strategic initiatives for Chef's engineering team. Main focus to stand up a Product Management team, Engineering re-org based on features, and develop/normalize engineering career progression and salary bands. Senior Director, Customer Experience: (October 2013 - October 2014), created first Customer Success Team and new Product Offering tying in technical account management and customer engineering to delight customers and grow Chef footprint in 50 targeted accounts. Grew team from one engineer to three teams of customer engineers, support engineers, and technical account managers.

Responsible for strategic direction and market execution of OpenStack Products, Product Engineering, OpenStackTraining, Customer Relationships, OpenStack Fanatical Support, and Project Management. Developed Rackspace Cloud: Private Edition from proof of concept development, pilot implementations, to final product for roll-out in US, Europe, and Asia. Brought in several marquee customers while building a product engineering, training practice, global support, and customer relationship management functions from scratch.

Bootstrapped a company focused on delivering open source cloud software. We targeted government and large enterprises (customers include NASA). Originally focused on providing integration and expertise in existing open source projects, we realized that there was a gap for a cloud framework that provided the flexibility and capabilities our clients needed. We wrote what became OpenStack.Responsibilities included herding OpenStack Nova into the open-source sun, optimizing for my developer's happiness, transforming basic infrastructure for our clients, contract management, and keeping the lights on.

Responsible for day-to-day management and implementation of NASA Nebula Cloud Computing Platform. Served as the main POC for the White House project, usaspending,gov, powered by Nebula. Managed the Nebula team made up of civil servants and contractors from six different companies. Focused on securing funding through the NASA Procedural Regulation process, business cases, and presenting cloud computing to several NASA councils and other Federal Agencies.

Federal highlights include:NASA Program Manager: Responsible for a team of project managers and implementation of 40% of Ames IT portfolio. Lead the implementation of several core infrastructure projects including campus-wide LAN upgrade, domain consolidation, and simultaneous workstation replacement. Lead NASA Integrated Enterprise Management Program (IEMP) Business Process Reengineering (BPR) effort for the eTravel shared service. Teams ranged from six-person engineering strike forces to extended teams of 40. JPL Program Manager, Procure to Pay (P2P) Project: Advisor to C-level JPL finance and acquisition management to develop process, technology recommendations, and implementation strategy for significant P2P process improvements to simplify, streamline, and standardize the process to pay critical suppliers. Received two outstanding achievement awards from JPL and Booz Allen. Selected for prestigious Intellectual Capital Capture and Dissemination (ICAD) team: Assisting the firm’s senior executives with implementing new Centers of Excellence that will develop service offerings and capabilities and facilitating new communities of practice and interest. U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) Travel Program Management Office (TPMO) Program Lead: Led shared service implementation of an end-to-end web service, eTravel. Bureau Advocate for the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), and U.S. Marshals Service (USMS). Received a letter of recognition from an FBI Bureau chief for her service with this component.

Led Proteus' first government win: Web services for the District of Columbia Court System. Led the application vendor analysis and selection, platform evaluation, concept and interface design, for the Court’s Juror Services application, Internet, Intranet, and e-Forms projects. Personally managed the Court’s deployment of Oracle Application Server 10g Portal. Working with the Court’s Executive Office, www.dccourts.gov was named one of the top ten court websites worldwide by Justice Served.Led efforts for SMS marketing efforts for HBO and the Discover Channel to develop SMS campaigns for their brands. Led the engineering teams to standardize the platform that pushed out text messages to clients across the US and Northern Europe.

Managed a global team responsible for implementing and maintaining 1,354 extranet sites for clients in the U.S., United Kingdom, Europe, and Japan for revenue growth and customer satisfaction improvement. Delivered new channels and portlets for document resource management, trouble ticketing, and customer service support. Led business requirements and stakeholder management for redesign and migration of extranets from WebSphere Application Server 3.5 / Consolidated Web Services Platform to en Portal/Siebel integration and Apache/Interwoven platform for significant cost savings. Also held positions as Web Channel Manager for the U.S. service provider business segment, led a global effort to gather business and application requirements and execute of all new extranet projects and two-way SAP interfaces for ordering and procurement in the United Kingdom and Europe.
