Working for lead animator Malachi James for Classics Explained

Creating music videos for Rocket Entertainment. Working with their artist Cameroon Bloomfield, on his new music. Media will be posted when the content is online.

I animated a music video for Blossom Record's band Rabbithole, which was to be projected whilst they performed during The Raw Pop Up, during the Art Basel Festival in Miami, Florida.

Alvastone is a bespoke clothing trading company, who provide garments and merchandise for many Blue Chip organisations. My Role is Creative Lead, responsible for the Alvastone’s 1) branding, 2) artwork and 3) social media. 1) RE-BRANDING I've gone to trade shows, such as ‘Merchandise World’ and ‘PPD Live’, where I met the clients. For PPD Live I helped curate and design the stage, I also helped set up on the day. I created a short info-graphic animation which was shown on the TV screen. I also helped design and create the catalogue for Alvastone. Taking photos of 64 products, which I edited in photoshop, illustrator and indesign. I’ve also redesigned the factory/client template proofs, with the correct size charts and patterns for each product in them. 2) ARTWORK Hourly, I am given client artwork and insert their pdf’s using illustrator into 64 pattern templates I made of all the clothing products. I often have to make small intricate changes and have to think logically about how to present the artwork to a professional standard and get the result the clients want to see. I also daily dispatch packages sample products and send them off using TNT. 3) SOCIAL MEDIA I also have been put in charge of the social networking of the company. Running their twitter, Instagram and Facebook pages. I set up an Alvastone Newsletter, where I act as editor sending out e-shots, ads and emails to regular subscribers, reminding them of upcoming events and products and discount offers we provide. I’ve set up a 3 month strategic plan to figure out what the following posts will be for the company. Soon I will be put in the sales position. where I will interact with clients on the phone and quote them prices, seeing a job from beginning to end. (I work here three times a week 9:00-5:30)

This job required excellent customer communication, quick mathematical calculations of frame dimensions and cost, high attention to detail and good colour palette taste. Working behind the till. Cleaning the shop floor and work studio space: hoovering, dusting and wiping the surfaces. I had a great relationship with my work collages and boss, who would all teach me how to cut and put together the frames, which I became very quick at assembling. They would send me to the other branches of the company to pick up and drop off parcels. I greatly enjoyed this job and managed to balance working there twice a week with my foundation degree at St Martins...I took a six month break, but am now back working at the shop on Saturdays, where I now work at the South Kensington Branch.

Working on the football grounds of Luton Town football club as a stewardess, managing the crowds and doing security checks before and after the games.
