As the summer intern for Commerce Chenango, I have been charged with writing a Weekly Business Highlight article that goes in the local newspaper. I am also responsible for keeping the social media websites fresh and up to date. I make promotional materials anytime the office needs them, everything from posters to window displays to even more articles and press releases.

I contribute a weekly front page column: Community Business Spotlight, presented by Commerce Chenango. I interview a different business owner/employee every week and write an article detailing the services they provide and the value they add to the community. These are Human Interest pieces. I also regularly contribute by writing Commerce Chenango press releases.

I represented my major and minor in the Student Association Senate as we discussed campus wide activities and voted on matters of equality and engagement. I am a director on the board of the SUNY New Paltz Student Association: a $1.4 million 501(c)(3).

I work with the department of Alumni Relations: completing tasks such as office work, event planning, and promotion.

I am a chapter member in the SUNY New Paltz Honors Program, where I am expected to participate in community service and challenging interdisciplinary seminar classes.

As a Student Ambassador, I provided Campus tours to prospective students and their families, as well as VIP Campus visitors. I also acted as a liaison to prospective students and the office of undergraduate admissions.

This position gave me the opportunity to mentor two fellow honors students. I served as their resource for them when it comes to the ins and outs of being an honors student, or adjusting to campus life.

As WFNP Programming Director, I will train new DJs and introduce them to the station. The Programming Director is responsible for scheduling the show times for every DJ both semesters. I will also oversee the operations of the station.

I co-host a talkshow and a 2 hour music show. I am trained to engineer a radio show on an FM station, providing entertainment to the surrounding areas.

I wrote two segments for Edge News, a student run news network that aired every weekday. These segments were On This Day In History and Famous Birthdays.

I had a daytime music show and manage the required technology in order to run a successful show on the network. I am also responsible for maintaining the name and image of the station.

This organization is based around community service. I attend weekly meetings and participate in efforts to positively impact the local community and help those in need.

This organization focuses on service and recognition. I attend meetings and participate in community service events when applicable. I also help my peers nominate individuals and organizations to be recognized for their honourable work in the campus community. NRHH is a sister organization to RHSA, and is nationally recognized with the National Association of College and University Residence Halls.

The Residence Hall Student Association is a department of Residence Life and hosts events for on campus students, and also serves as the governing body of all Hall Governments on the SUNY New Paltz campus. The CCC (Campus Communications Coordinator) is responsible for communicating with other organizational bodies and working with the rest of the RHSA Executive Board in order to successfully host campus wide programs and address student concerns on an administrative level. We are affiliated with the National Association of College and University Residence Halls through their Northeast division.

As Bliss Hall Government President I led my cabinet in team building exercises as we put on programs for the Hall in order to build a sense of community.
