I began my Art Education journey at The Ohio State University in 2015 and graduated with my Bachelor's of Art Education (BAE) in 2019. Along the way, I gained many skills that have made me a highly qualified and passionate artist and teacher. I continuously participate in opportunities to further my education: Study abroad in Kingston Jamaica in 2017 and National Art Educator Association Conferences in 2019 and 2022. I recently renewed my teaching license this year. I have been teaching now for 5 years in the School District of Indian River County. I worked for three years at Sebastian Elementary where I created strong relationships with my students and gained constructive classroom management skills. I currently work at Fellsmere Elementary, a school with a Dual Language Program, where I am creating engaging art lessons with varied art materials to encourage critical thinking skills and creative risk taking.I am also working as an Art Instructor at the Vero Beach Museum of Art. On the last Saturday of the month, the museum hosts a museum studio event in which members of the community can visit the museum and partake in an art lesson for free! My responsibility is to create a lesson in which a wide variety of ages can participate in art making and is connected to the theme or current gallery on display. I have also been an Art Instructor during their Summer Art Camp Program.
