During my time working as a CMT for Anthology of Burlington Creek I've gained skills in administering medicine in accordance with resident care plans, checking blood sugar levels, providing assistance in routine daily care, and helping families in the difficult transition from living independently to living in a facility.

During my time working as a CNA at Anthology of Burlington Creek I've taken care of both assisted living and memory care patients.

During my time at Tiffany Springs Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, I worked as CNA on the rehabilitation floor. During this time I was able to learn the scope of how both CNAs and nurses help with the healing process. I provided routine individual assistance for residents in accordance with the Resident Care Plan. I was able to gain experience regarding how the healthcare system functions as a whole. I also worked on a COVID-19 unit helping positive patients with their ADLs and by checking vital signs.

My participation in the Park Hill Professional Studies program allowed me to shadow various healthcare professionals within the St Luke’s hospital system specifically St Luke’s North and Plaza locations. During my time in the program, I was able to complete over 100 hours of clinical experience. I gained a variety of professional skills, learned about how the medical system operates and explored both legal and ethical dilemmas relating to the field of health care. In this class, I was certified in both HIPPA compliance as well as CPR/AED.
