Manager – Editorial ServicesResponsibilities included:- managing the Editorial Services team, both in-house resources and freelancers/vendors- planning and resource allocation- training resources on copyediting, proofreading and indexing- driving Lean and Six Sigma initiatives- mentoring team members- acquiring knowledge on new services and training resources on the same – digitization for Lonely Planet, alt text writing, PCL editing, custom indexing, etc.- developing, with the help of Engineering and Innovation team, tools to increase productivity and reduce errors- liaising with project managers, both onsite and offshore- had the opportunity to go onsite and work with the client (Lonely Planet) directly
