I am a PhD student at Stanford University interested in plant-soil linkages in agroecosystems, particularly in grassland ecology and grazing interactions.I graduated from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo with a BS in Plant Sciences and with minors in both Sustainable Agriculture and Land Rehabilitation and Restoration Ecology.Having worked on a farm since I was 11 years old coupled with all of my experiences and current education, I believe my three areas of study represent the future of agriculture and improving our food and waste systems for the greater good of people and the planet.

Frost Research Grant, Undergraduate ResearcherCalifornia Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo Jan 2021 - Jun 2021Researching the ecological speciation of Lasthenia maritima from L. minor under Dr. Nishanta Rajakaruna's guidance. We will be performing a reciprocal transplant study to observe L. maritima and minor's fitness in their home soil and in others. This information will allow us to understand how isolating barriers led to genetic variation including high metal tolerance. Received the Spring Frost Research Grant for this work. -
