Conducted pesticide efficacy trials, mortality bioassays, and feeding assays of an invasive greenhouse pest (European pepper moth; Duponchelia fovealis). Maintained colony of European pepper moth larvae for use in trials. Presented research findings at ESA southeastern branch meetings, the Ornamental Workshop on Pests and Diseases, and NCSU DEPP Student Symposium.

Assisted with graduate student projects and lab managerial duties. Helped conduct pesticide trials and tended to greenhouse plants.

Checked the parameters of many saltwater and freshwater tanks, fed and ensured the wellbeing of horseshoe crabs, sea stars, anemones and more, filmed invertebrates' locomotion, feeding, and external morphologies for educational use.

Worked with termites, bedbugs, and roaches to assist in urban pest management research, cultured bacteria and fungi for use in entomopathogen research, participated and presented in group lab meetings and discussions, helped with research insect husbandry.

Sorted through backlog of collected insects by order, extracted DNA from ant specimens for further labeling and analyzation, utilized agarose gel electrophoresis and Qubit fluorometric quantification, pinned and mounted insect specimens.
