This internship taught me many skills and increased my interest for social media marketing. During this internship, I managed social media campaign on Instagram and Facebook by designing interactive content. I learned how to get creative and catch the viewers attention. I realized the importance of hashtags and locations. Using both of these allowed the picture or comment to be spread out across different platforms. I corresponded with other local bakeries to expand and interconnect online presence and create long-term, synergistic relationships. Doing this, I learned how to network online and make connections with other companies. This enhanced my time management and flexibility skills. I had to be organized and find the right times to post. I also had to be flexible and find different ways on how to get the viewers engaged with the account. By the end of the two month internship, I increased following by 68%. I taught employees the best practices of social media networking by answering questions and providing constructive criticism when necessary. Overall, this internship has helped me improve my ability to multitask, work in a team, and knowledge of analytical tools.
