Hello, my name is Sophie! I am a driven and self-motivated individual, who is passionate about empowering and working with others. With an aim to empower and uplift young creatives, I founded The Kollab Network in 2020, which is dedicated to connecting creatives with opportunities, funding, mentorship and events. I am deeply passionate about the intersection of creativity and social change, and how we can better ensure the creative industry is accessible as possible, for individuals from marginalised communities. Through the Kollab Network, I have been able to connect with a large number of creatives across the United Kingdom and have enabled them to secure mentorship, opportunities and funding for their creative ventures. As an organisation, we have successfully reached over 3,000 followers across all of our social media platforms, and host networking events, careers workshops and creative coaching sessions for young creatives. As well as being the founder of The Kollab Network, I am the Community & Programmes Manager at Milk Honey Bees, which is an organisation dedicated to supporting young Black girls, through creative projects, mentoring and holistic support. My role as Community Manager incorporates not only my creativity and project management skills, but also my passion for community and social activism. Through this role, I have had the pleasure of assisting in the production of a number of social action projects and establishment of mentoring schemes for young Black girls interested in getting into the creative industry.
