I oversaw several productions of various genres from Natural History for Disney + to daytime Fact Ent for BBC 2. Providing cost manager, production support and guidance to PM’s and LPs. I was responsible for maintaining margins and recovery lines for each of these series, ensuring milestones are met. I reported back to senior management and broadcasters on their status, including overages, delays to production or delivery and present workable solutions. I also created budgets and schedules for pitches and bids across all Plimsoll departments and regularly attend slate and pipeline meetings.

As part of the Senior Management team, I was responsible for budgeting, scheduling, crewing and overseeing multiple productions from inception to delivery. I reported to and liaised with clients including Netflix, Discovery and Channel 9. Liaising closely with the founding EP to garner funding, then produce budgets to take productions through commissioning to be greenlit. A challenging and involved role in this rapidly expanding company meant l saw all facets of the business from the ground up. A fantastic stepping stone into understanding how production companies run.

I was also responsible for assessing cost reports submitted by independent production companies and worked closely with Business Affairs to ensure PPA’s were adhered to, I also paid a key role in assessing budget bids for Covid production support.
