Technical financial accountant responsible for heading up the financial accounting team, leading the production of the annual report and accounts and assessing technical accounting and control standards. I work directly with a broad and diverse range of clients, with exposure to clients of varying sizes, industries and complexity from all over the world.I liaise with overseas teams to ensure they complete appropriate audit testing. I do so by reviewing overseas teams working papers and communicating with teams across the world regularly, utilising my strong business awareness and reporting skills. I work with members of the RRAE team and colleagues in other parts of the firm, as necessary, to provide a high-quality client service. I seconded to the Learning & Development department for 12 months where I developed and wrote training programmes for PwC employees.My experience included updating programmes for assurance graduates as well as writing a brand new Experienced Hires programme, where I embedded hands-on activities and detailed technical training. A highlight of my secondment was to project manage a large-scale Line of Service event for 2500 people where I was required to balance the requirements of different grades, logistics as well as creating a visual design to make the event a success. I have completed a three-year training contract to become an ACA Chartered Accountant. In completing all 15 exams, I am pleased to have attained a mark in the PwC top 5 rankings on two occasions. I have worked on different audit and assurance engagements including external audit, internal audit and risk assurance. I have experience working with large private clients in a range of industries as well as working closely with housing associations and public sector clients. I am also proud to have received some excellent feedback from my colleagues as a result of my positive work ethic and commitment to quality throughout engagements. This led me to a ranking in the top tier of my peer group during each of my performance appraisals. I held the role of Vice Chair of BADCASS for two terms. The society promotes student welfare and organises student events across the region, with the largest being the BADCASS Ball held annually. As part of this role, I gathered and reviewed feedback from attendees in order to improve future events. This resulted in BADCASS events being well attended since I joined the committee. Whilst in role, I also attended quarterly national committee meetings where I represented the region and inputted towards key ICAEW decisions. I also worked closely with the accounting charity, CABA, to hold student events focused around mental health and wellbeing.

As ambassador, I gave presentations to large audiences and communicated with prospective students about life at the university. I also specifically spoke about my time studying abroad and provided key advice on my experiences to students interested in the programme.

I worked in the Environmental Goods and Services Department, helping the team to research the "green" goods and services which are imported and exported into the UK each year. Using this information, I helped develop the environmental accounts showing how the environment contributed to the economy in 2014.

This was a part-time administrative role where I advertised property details, advised clients on property management services, liaised with solicitors on the sale of properties and organised emergency and routine property inspection appointments.

I was a youth leader on a 3 week summer program produced and organised by the government. The organisation allows teenagers aged 15-17 to participate in the programme helping them build vital communication and organisation skills for the future. I was a team leader for a group of 13 teenagers where I was able to show my teamwork, leadership and communication skills on a daily basis.
