I started working for Alastair at the start of lockdown as an admin/media assistant. I have learnt to use my knowledge in Microsoft 365 and teams. I also email and ring clients to book appointments /film days for Alastair. My key role is making sure he is compliant with Civil Aviation Authority flight documents for his drone work. This job is both office and field-based work as I am also a part of the flight ground crew for drone operations on farms and other projects that we undertake. This job involves making sure the area is safe and communicating with public and clients. The projects I am involved with range from small SMEs to City councils to live streaming global Agricultural Expo’s. I do this job actively.

My role at Beechwood is an Operations Coordinator and Administrative assistant. Beechwood is a document signing company. I work on behalf of solicitors helping clients with Injury claims and writing up reports on accidents as well as dealing with car hire purchase documents. This role is more complex than it seems as there are many parts to multitask throughout the day with for example on top of dealing with solicitors with injury reports to car hires, the main element of my role is handling court documents with fast turn arounds. To manage this operation there are two parts I either electronically deliver court papers on certain persons which includes writing up my own statement of events, or I allocate agents nationwide that work for us to go out and get documents signed and for me to check the papers and statements were written up correctly. This job has made me adapt to the situations and has helped me improve my communication skills as well as manage people remotely to make sure things are done and within strict time frames. As I am the only one doing this job in the business, I must manage my time keeping and organisation more than ever as if things are not dealt with quickly the job list increases very quickly.

I worked at Brewdog Carlisle as Bar Crew. This Job was more than just serving customers, pouring pints, and making pizzas. My role was about creating an experience for the customer and going that one step beyond. Throughout my year working at Brewdog I created great connections with the staff and customers that made the role more than just a typical bar job. The social skills that I developed through this job allowed me to grow as a person and no matter what I always greeted customers with a smile and warm welcome. My responsibilities grew with this job from starting with customer service and dealing with cash handling to locking up and sorting deliveries. I received numerous positive feedback and reviews about my service that had been passed on to management. I saw the challenges the hospitality sector faced during lockdown and covid restrictions and adapted my skill set to make sure the Bar was compliant with any spot checks that might have been carried out.

I worked on reception at Energi, my duties included helping with staff coverage, serving customers, making inbound and outbound calls to customers, and dealing with any queries they may have, I manage bookings and sort payments out, emailing payment receipts/general emailing while doing stock checks and making sure the place is tidy.
