    Upon my return to ECMWF, I was tasked with assisting in the due diligence checks for contract initiations and closures. This grew to incorporate the monitoring of the closure of the first phase of Copernicus, including the processing of payments. Since I work part-time, I have had to time-manage my workload within a three-day week and hence, have successfully adapted to prioritising tasks . I also assist the Contract Management Officers in the communication to contractors and have helped gather conclusions from and assess the recorded findings from third party audits for our contractors. The use of Microsoft Office Suite programs, such as Word and Excel, is required daily in my role, and so I am readily familiar with how to utilize them to my advantage. I am a dedicated and thoughtful worker and as such I am a self-starter when approaching a given task.

    The Section for which I worked is responsible for the implementation of over 200 contracts with multi-national entities. I managed the timely reception of progress reports from all contractors on a minimum quarterly and annual basis. I conducted an initial assessment on completeness and (non-technical) quality aspects, abstraction of relevant data, the fine-tuning and merging of documents through the use of the Microsoft Office Suite programs, for senior management review. My due diligence and attention to detail was essential in this. The confidence to chase up any outstanding deliverables or contributions was always required and I successfully managed a diverse and often heavy workload, as I had to work efficiently under pressure to meet hard deadlines. I actively sought feedback from my colleagues to streamline the reporting processes and to keep the reporting templates current.I was dedicated and enthusiastic within my work and as such I was readily a self-starter when approaching a given task. My daily responsibilities included supporting the Senior Copernicus Contracts Administrator by updating contractual statistics and contact details using Unit 4 Business World Online, the monitoring of incoming emails and populating meta-data files of the Copernicus Deliverables Open Text tool. I also supported Contract Management Officers in the communication and guidance to contractors and in my attendance to contractual progress meetings. Hence, I was granted management of our Climate Change Service Demonstrator Contracts. I monitored the majority of these contracts from negotiation to closure, and since all were pre-agreed price contracts, the price was always negotiated down where possible. I was in daily contact with my contractors and I collaborated with technical and scientific colleagues responsible for tracking the technical implementation of the contracts.
