I am a senior at Vassar College studying Education and Urban Studies, passionate about education equity, youth voice, and community organizing. I am currently on the steering committee of Arlington Partners Against Racism, a parent anti-racist advocacy group working in the Arlington Central School District and am a College Fellow with the Youth Journalism Coalition, a coalition of service providers, students, teachers, colleges & universities, funders and newsrooms advocating for equitable access to youth journalism opportunities. I also work as a Programming Assistant in the Office of Community Engaged Learning at Vassar, which is a community-based and experiential educational opportunity aimed to enhance learning, through community engagement. I am a former public school student from Brooklyn, NY, where I was a leader at Teens Take Charge, a youth-led organization working for educational integration and equity in NYC public schools, a founding member of the Service Learning Project Youth Board, which fights for culturally responsive action civics, and a founding member of my high school's Student Equity Committee.
