Listed as one of the most influential organisations in international education by ISC Research, the mission of The Edtech Podcast is to improve the dialogue between 'ed' and 'tech' through storytelling, for better innovation and impact. I founded the podcast in 2016 and published over 250 episodes before handing the content and operational reins over to current caretakers Educate Ventures so that I could build WorkTripp. Through The Edtech Podcast I interviewed Educator Leaders, EdTech Unicorn companies, investors, and policy-makers, and commercialised podcast series in K-12, Higher Education and The Future of Work, as well as launching The Edtech Podcast Festival. The podcast reached peak monthly downloads of 40k during the summer of 2020, from 145+ countries, and has been a media partner for events including The Yidan Prize (Hong Kong), HundrED Summit (Finland), ASU GSV Summit (USA), SXSW EDU (USA), GET Summit (China), Oslo Edtech (Norway) and Bett (UK). I have spoken and moderated at a variety of events including SXSWEDU, Yidan Education Prize, ASU GSV Summit, and the Next Billion Edtech Summit. I am a Reimagine Education, GESA Awards, Bett Awards and XPrize Adult Literacy judge, and previous Edtech50, Edtech I.T in Higher Education, and Edtech Digest winner. I continue to record and present the odd podcast episode and maintain a deep interest in the EdTech space. As Co-Founder of WorkTripp, I am excited to combine the learnings from EdTech and my B2B events experience. I subscribe to Bao-Y Van Congโ€™s view that โ€œEdtech startups will have to grapple with a new model. This will entail corporate and consumer edtechs having to retain the scalability and efficiency of online with the engagement of offline.โ€Exciting times!
