Sophie is the Director of Programs and Operations at The New Farm Centre and a project coach for teams in the Leading Social Justice Collective. She is a board member at the Fair Finance Fund, a non-profit social finance fund for local food and farm enterprises.Sophie works at the intersections of social, economic, and environmental justice issues, with expertise in food systems, sustainable rural development, social finance, behavioural insights, and equity and inclusion. She has done freelance consulting with Evenings & Weekends Consulting and Rubus Research & Consulting.Previously, Sophie was a Principal at In Nova Consulting, where she co-managed the Leading Social Justice Collective, a partnership program of the United Way Greater Toronto and UofT's School of Cities, and worked with international feminist and human rights organizations on equity and inclusion. Her previous work includes collaborating with the Coalition of Immokalee Workers on a new development strategy, applying a behavioural insights lens to food systems research with BI.Org, and leading food access and community development programming. Sophie holds an MBA from the University of Toronto and a BA from Wesleyan University, was a Fulbright Researcher in Morocco, and speaks English, French, and Moroccan Arabic.
