Developing manufacturing processes for Oral Health R&D Projects in Sensitivity & Acid Erosion Category to support R&D projects for New Product Development. Manufacture pilot scale batches to support scale-up from laboratory to commercial batch size and product launch, and to support pivotal stability studies and Clinical and Consumer sensory trials.Building capability within R&D on raw material and finished product characterisation and relating product characteristics to processing conditions. Leading a project on developing understanding of impact of scale-up, critical process parameters and subsequent process variability on product stability and characteristics.

Supporting Global Manufacturing and Supply (materials science) and CMO's with expertise on Colloidal Formulations and their respective stability. This includes evaluation and assessment of new materials (API and excipients), process comparisons and technical troubleshooting of products that are destabilising.Support products globally across the full range of dosage forms, including liquids, creams, ointments, aerosols (metered dose inhalers and nasal sprays) and suspensions/dispersions. This has also included scale up projects and technical transfers of products to new manufacturing vessels. Additionally, independently built training programme to build characterisation capability in semi-solids which was rolled out to sites globally, Responsible for training colleagues globally in colloidal characterisation techniques.

Delivering new products within the PICO NPWT team in Research & Development. Responsible for project management of individual project, including project planning, investigating new technologies, running manufacturing trials of new materials and problem solving. I provide additional technical support for other projects within the PICO team and across R&D, including those in design control. Attend regular technical and design reviews.

Provision of scientific input to new product development. Experience of multiple analytical methods and stability programmes for development of Negative Pressure Wound Therapy products to launch, including working within Design Control. Provision of evidence for regulatory submissions, including CE marking and 510K.

Design and implementation of experiments and analysis of data with the end goal of developing a new product for an Industrial sponsor. Analysis of data collected and compilation of multiple reports presenting data and findings. PhD based in the Surfactant and Colloid Group at The University of Hull. I have experience working with colloidal dispersions (foams, encapsulates and emulsions) and their stability, including analytical methods to characterise these systems. I also have experience working with particles and coatings.Management of multiple projects alongside being responsible for teaching and demonstrating to Undergraduate Chemistry students.Experience of presenting data and research to Industry experts and academics.

Routine quality control analysis of a controlled pharmaceutical substance.Experience of GLP and GMP alongside thorough completion of correct documentation required for analysis of pharmaceuticals. Understanding of importance of traceability in chemical analysis.Experience of Chemical analysis including, Gas Chromatography (GC), High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) including integration of chromatographs using Chromeleon software, Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC), Karl Fischer Titration, Particle Size analysis and Raw Material quarantine and analysis.

Physical property analysis of polymeric materials (nets and films) developed in Technical Procurement group at Smith and Nephew Extruded Films (SNEF).Measurement of Tensile Strengths, Stripping Loads, Water Permeation and Adhesive Loads of extruded polymers.Responsible for management of project to design a database containing information on stripping loads of multiple polymer resins on a variety of release papers. This was to act as a cost saving resource to the company to reduce the need for unnecessary trials on the manufacturing lines. Involved organisation of trials on manufacturing lines and accounting quantities of raw materials required.Partook in multiple Kaizan events, including the implementation of a new Kanban system on the shop floor, and improvement of health and safety on a net manufacturing line.
