Sophie has over 15 year’s experience in the Financial Services industry and has worked across many facets of the advice chain. She has a real passion for strategic financial advice and for helping advice business’ turn ideas into action. She is highly regarded for her strong commercial acumen and her plainspoken approach, Sophie believes that great advice is so much more than just investing client’s money, but about building a human connection and providing people with choices.Sophie first started her career in Financial Services in 2008 just as the GFC hit, at the time she was a Client Services Manager for a large financial planning practice, and it was in this role where she witnessed first-hand the power of great advice.Sophie’s role as a Client Services Officer quickly evolved as she became more interested in the inner workings of an advice business. Shortly after joining the practice her role shifted and became one that focused on how she could re-define the business’ client value proposition, reduce the cost to serve and scale up their offer.In 2013 Sophie joined BT Financial Group where she held a variety of roles from offer development, operations, regulatory assurance and key account management before joining Madison Financial Group in 2019 as their National Practice Manager.In her role as National Practice Manager, she is responsible for working alongside Madison’s network of more than 80 Financial Advisers to analyse how their business is performing and then help to identify opportunities or problem areas that exist within their business. She then works with the business to decide on the actions or priorities that are most important to them and then provides support to help implement these actions through recommendations, resources, focus and discipline.
