This commitment continues to provide a transparent industry narrative on progress.BUSINESS COACH & MENTOR:- As Founding Director of biov8tion, I leverage my extensive industry knowledge and network to mentor and enable both individuals and companies meet their purpose driven vision. - Industry mentor for Fashion for Good’s annual Accelerator Program innovator cohort, providing navigation through the complexities of the apparel industry, support for the development of engagement strategies and external thought partnering as they develop pioneering innovations.

As Material Futurist and founder of biov8tion, work was framed around inspiring and facilitating material disruption across the textile industry. As part of the advisory group to the Biosynthetics Round Table my role was to provide topic support to the agenda and content. The aim of the Biosynthetics Round Table was to develop a framework to assess biosynthetics and to define preferred biosynthetics in order to support the industry to make informed decisions.

After watching the growing interest and engagement on the topic of Bio Synthetics, I spearheaded the Biosynthetics Working group as one of the TE materials within its preferred material portfolio. Within this time I grow the working group members, and strategically directed the agenda. This work culminated with the delivery of the http://www.aboutbiosynthetics.org at the TE annual conference in 2017.

In a voluntary capacity I supported the Textile Exchange as an advisory board member through a 4 year term. I bought an innovation perspective into this role and was pinnacle in bringing Bio Synthetics into the remit of their Preferred Material Portfolio.

#DontFeedTheFish works to research, collaborate and re-engineer apparel textiles so that they do not release microfibres that are harmful to sea, land or human.A campaign and research Crowdfunded and supported by European Outdoor Group, Finisterre Mammut, The North Face and the public. Entry level research on PET polymers, fibres, and yarns to determine their influence on microfibre shedding, found that:• UV exposure to be a significant trigger on lowering tenacity in polyester. • This observation was consistent across the varying yarn specs tested, with up to 42% tenacity reductions after 72hrs UV exposure.• Outputs led to significant industry interest and the formation of the www.microfibreconsortium.com in 2017

Tasked with the direction of strategy and project implementation, of the newly created innovation department at Tong Siang, Thailand. I worked to bridge external industry knowledge specific to innovation and sustainability, with the depth of internal technical factory expertise, to deliver pinnacle innovation to performance brands and retailers.

In a consultancy position I supported the Organic Exchange as they transitioned to the Textile Exchange. I prepared a business development plan for the organisation, including the larger remit beyond purely organic cotton for presentation to the TE board in October 2010.

Leading the innovation strategy and management of the development of research and technology projects from conceptual ideas to commercialization within a specified budget.SENIOR MATERIALS RESEARCHER– ADVANCED MATERIAL RESEARCHWith an emphasis on sustainable advanced material research, this role enabled a thorough exploration of globe changing material innovations. Projects were established from the need to find alternatives to water and oil within the textile process, without the compromise of athlete performance. INNOVATION DIRECTOR – BASKETBALL AND RUNNINGWorking on innovative product concepts to commercial solutions Ranging from elite level athletes to emerging consumers.

ASIA PACIFIC INNOVATION MANAGERA Hong Kong based position that delivered fresh innovation on 6-month cycles. This led to the expansion of innovation in Asia over a 4-year period. The balance of global and regional lead projects ensured that the Asian consumer was satisfied with regards to their unique climate and technology expectations.

A Hong Kong based position managing the sourcing and development of fabrics for the Pentland apparel brands, Speedo, Ellesse, Kickers & Berghaus.

Trend prediction, preproduction, bulk production and testing on all materials that went into the Marks & Spencer’s account. Areas of textile specialty included men's and women's sportswear and baby products.
