About Sophie Reitz-Bouren

I have the honor of serving our U.S. National customers in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming for IBM System z Software. I strive to understand each of my customer's business and technology goals so I can facilitate their success in solving problems and executing on their strategic initiatives. I support my customers through client engineering workshops and lab service engagements. In these engagements we identify the root causes of issues and create customized proofs of technologies which are key to supporting my customer's business strategy. I help identify areas of modernization for my customers by including IBM's top subject matter experts in every step of the planning and road mapping process. I have the privilege of starting my career at IBM in System z Software. System z has one of the longest legacies in the technology world; the knowledge base my coworkers and my customers have is vast and irreplaceable. I find myself learning from them every day and I am incredibly grateful to be included in the story of System z. I am a critical thinker with a passion for technology and people. I have experience in Security, Automation, Data & AI, Sustainability, and Application & Platform Software. I enjoy collaborating and co-creating with my customers in each of these areas. Outside of work, I am an avid skier, runner, foodie, Indiana Hoosier's basketball fan, and sub-par surfer. I love spending time with my family, friends, and golden retriever.
