Advocating for women in all aspects of the computing field by creating a society at the University of Minnesota in which women can uphold each other through interactions, advice, mentorship, and volunteering. As Marketing Officer, I manage all publicity of the club to promote awareness; create and update posts on socials including Instagram, Discord, and LinkedIn; and coordinate with other student groups to share publicity about club events.

As an organization, we are committed to improving the treatment of women and all people in the fields of mathematics with a priority in upholding those minority groups that have historically faced issues. As Chapter President, tasks include assisting all other officers, creating and maintaining a master event schedule, managing task assignment, monitoring emails, maintaining communication with the math department and GeMM (graduate WiM), and planing elections for the following team.

Responsible for creating and fostering mentorship families of upper and underclassmen largely divided by major. Organize mentorship families based on common interests, backgrounds, and departments; facilitate those groups’ meeting times, locations, and discussion topics; and restructure mentor families depending on responsiveness of family members or individual’s needs.

Participated in the SWE Team Tech Competition working on a project combatting baler issues under the direction of our sponsors at John Deere, within the specialized software design focus group using technical experience.

Managed the SWE social media accounts, created posts and marketing advertisements, and migrated the SWE website to WordPress from our previous platform.

Code the Gap is a student organization at the University that seeks to close the representation gap in technology by encouraging underrepresented students to learn to code. Code the Gap empowers and equips middle to high school-level students with computer programming skills to build strong leaders in technological fields. As Outreach Coordinator, I organize all large-scale and small-scale events; serve as a liaison between Code the Gap and other university groups on campus for the promotion of joint events; apply for any necessary permits, contact guest speakers, and reserve dates and locations for holding the event; work closely with co-presidents in setting up communication with the school, maintaining contact with school’s representatives to start volunteering sessions; guide planning of events and work alongside Marketing Director and Secretary to promote events.

Worked on the Precision Agriculture team with a focus on building an image retrieval and analysis pipeline. This pipeline connected images from the cluster server, taken by the robot, to the CropWizard AI through the MyFarm virtual farm management system. Developed the MyFarm application using HTML, CSS, Javascript, and Django.
