I currently provide private training sessions for youth soccer athletes. While I specialize in goalkeeping, I also provide training sessions for field players. During my sessions, I strive to train the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of each individual athlete by touching upon fitness, agility, technique, tactical skills, and mental training skills. As the assistant coach of the Mount Si Varsity girls soccer team I had various responsibilities, including:• assisting the head coach in practice and game set-up/tear-down• developing and running summer weight training and fitness workouts• developing and running practice when the head coach could not attend• implementing team building exercises and mental skills training sessions throughout the season• developing positive relationships with athletes, parents, and in the community• acting as a positive role model for athletes• building a strong rapport with both athletes and fellow coaches in the program• demonstrating a high level of respect for opponents, officials, and facilitiesI was also the sole goalkeeper trainer for the girls soccer program at Mount Si, which included responsibilities such as:• developing and implementing position specific training sessions throughout the season• tracking progress of each individual athlete and developing unique plans for athletic growth while also maintaining a group-like atmosphere during large group practice sessions• developing relationships with each individual athlete and communicating plans and strategies to be used towards their athletic growth so as to include them and make them aware of their progress throughout the season• implementing sport psychology and mental skills training techniques when necessary

While I completed my internship at Curtis Senior High School, I learned from and assisted head athletic trainer Irene Lowe during boys soccer, boys and girls lacrosse, track and field meets, and various practice times. During my time at Curtis Senior High School, I learned and practiced many responsibilities and actions of an athletic trainer, with examples including:• Learned basic taping techniques.• Learned how to efficiently and professionally run an athletic training room.• Learned how to appropriately work with young athletes while they are in physical, mental, and emotional distress.• Learned how to develop and distribute guidelines for injury prevention.

For an internship at Washington Premier FC in Puyallup, WA, I worked under Sue Waters with the GU14 White team, as well as under head goalkeeper coach Willy Leiste with the goalkeepers of the club. During my time at Washington Premier, I learned and practiced the following aspects of coaching:• Learned how to develop, plan, and implement practice sessions.• Learned how to adapt drills, exercises to better develop athletes.• Helped run warm ups and drills during training sessions.• Developed and implemented warm ups and drills throughout the internship.
