I currently work as a Human Resources Administrator at Grant Thornton. In this role I help my colleagues by managing the HR Support inbox, answering all queries, requests and issues. Keeping track of employee's leave - including maternity, paternity, parental and sick, ensuring that all teams are aware of any absences. Maintaining a positive work environment by getting involved in projects, initiatives and meetings. I graduated from National College of Ireland with a BA (Hons) in Human Resource Management. I received a 2.1 grade overall. My studies have expanded my knowledge on human interactions, recruitment, employment law and equality within the work place. Previous HR experience with The HR Company, helped me expand my knowledge and understanding on employment law, contracts, handbooks and HR advice. I got an insight into the importance of reading and understanding both the employee contract and handbook to grasp the rights as an employee. During my time at NCI, I got involved in many activities, events and projects such as being the President of the Fashion Society from 2021 to 2023. My duties included leading a team, helping others with questions or concerns and listening to my peers for new ideas, suggestions or guidance. I won the Fresher of the Year award for the 2020/2021 college year for getting involved with different events with other clubs or societies.I am a reliable, honest, hardworking, punctual person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. I enjoy meeting new people and helping others while also being very flexible and adaptable in my approach to work with a willingness to learn new skills. I hold a full, clean drivers license and I am a fluent Irish speaker.
